As you've possibly noticed, I tried to optimize TrickYa! for the IE6 and above, but because of absolute non-W3C-conform interpretation of simple HTML-tags and especially CSS I stop this beginning version 1.2. Please - get a better Browser like
Firefox,
Opera or
Safari. All of them are much much more W3C-compliant.
What are the bugs with TrickYa! and IE?
Some really strange things happend. When I've opened a site in TrickYa! and moved along to another site, it happens, that the IE just shows a blank screen. A reload with F5 solves this issue and let me continue. I would say: Ok - coding error, but I checked and tried for some weeks to fix this. Interessetingly, in other browsers this won't happen.
Are you contra-IE?
No, not really. IE6 is possibly a good way for sys-admins to place startpages, bookmarks and intranet-related stuff in companys. But (like most Web-Designer & Web-Developers) I've a fable for the free browsers, especially for Firefox. Since V3 I also run it on my Mac (it was not that good before on Mac OS).
But - if I really want, can I use IE for TrickYa!?
Yes. I've tried to optimized the redesign for IE and it looks like it works more or less seamless except the above mentioned problems with the blank pages and some really weird problems with the positioning of elements in the Statistics. You CAN use IE, but I really recommend you to use another one ;)
